Jordan joined BYF Sports in the 8th grade, quietly determined and full of dreams. While she might have started as an average student by the books, it was clear early on that she had extraordinary potential — both on and off the court.
On the hardwood, we always joked that Jordan was our defensive specialist — and it wasn’t a joke for long. She had a knack for shutting down top players in her class, frustrating scorers, and making plays that didn’t always show up in the box score but always changed the momentum of a game. She had that quiet killer instinct — the kind that makes a coach’s job easier.

But Jordan’s dream wasn’t just to dominate on defense — she wanted to make a difference in people’s lives. She shared early on that her goal was to become a doctor — a big dream that never wavered. And like everything else she did, she pursued it with focus and grit.
After high school, Jordan attended Xavier University of Louisiana, a prestigious HBCU known for producing top healthcare professionals. She worked her way through an intense academic program with the same tenacity she brought to the court.
