The anticipation for July and Chicago Summer Jam has been crazy. And now that it's here we get to see who worked on their skill set, who didn't, and still living off the hype. With two days down at Chicago Summer Jam a few players displayed breakout capabilities. Day #3 is the day of win or go home and a chance for college coaches to really see if players can turn it up when the bright lights are on. Coaches got a chance to see 6'7 wing Jerome Hunter which was hands down the best prospect in attendance dominate the tournament from start to Finnish leading his team OH NOVA Tillman to a 16u championship along with super strong PG 6'2 Devon baker who had coaches in awe at his physique and steady play. And the smooth game of 6'4 Caleb McConnell who was knocking shots down consistently. The best program top to bottom talent wise was Team EAT that had depth at every level with their 16u capturing a title. Led by 5'11 Ashton Bonner, 6'2 Kendrick Harris, and 6'7 2019 Phillip Crawford. These guys had plenty of noteworthy plays. Next up was Illinois heat who won the 17u title led by 6'6 Ramon Douglas who is having a nice July to say the least. A couple young guns opened eyes this weekend also from St. Viator HS playing for Kevon Looney 15u running rebels 6'4 wing Jeremiah Hernandez and 5'10 PG John Cison. These two in the backcourt should be a problem for years to come in AAU and at school. Noteworthy Wisconsin Academy, All Ohio, Arkansas Dream Team, Sky Digg soldiers, Howard Pulley, Powerhouse Hoops were all solid.

Scores in bunches and locks up on defense. Nice handle and will surprise you with his jumping ability. Hit three after three that had college coaches take notice... Great attitude and very vocal on the floor. Kid is a warrior and winner.

2018 6'7 F Jerome Hunter

This kid has legit next level game. His unique skill set allows him to easily stand out. His motor is running as the kid can get a rebound then it's off to the races. Has decent handle to go along with strong inside outside play. Hard to stop once he gets going it might be a long night for any team. Has had a breakout spring and summer with five offers so far with more to come.

Devin Evans

The long thin 6'6 kid showed flashes of putting the ball on the floor. He was effective in the post and 15ft in but he was most impressive defensively with his group. He made it hard for his opponent to score and didn't back down with his thin frame. Decent motor and athleticism. Depending on the work this kid puts in will determine what position he will play at the next level.

Zeke was exciting to watch and displayed the ability to put it on the floor effectively and get wherever he wanted on the floor. He defended both the interior and perimeter well. Decent shot to go along with his nice IQ. A do all type of player that never really looked winded at all even tho he was everywhere on the floor. This kid could be special in a year or two.

Active active active...did I mention active? Oh, ok. This kid was consistent on both ends of the floor and seemed like he was involved in every play. Nice feel for the game with scoring ability.
