Aneesah Morrow off to the WNBA

At BYF Sports, we believe in nurturing talent, building character, and preparing young athletes to thrive both on and off the court. Today, we’re proud to celebrate one of our own — Aneesah Morrow, a remarkable young woman who has made it all the way to the WNBA.

Aneesah’s journey is more than just a story of athletic excellence — it’s a testament to hard work, discipline, and the power of community support. From the moment she joined BYF Sports in the 8th grade, her talent was undeniable. With a natural gift for the game and a competitive spirit that couldn’t be taught, Annesha quickly became a standout in our program.

She played with BYF Sports from 8th through 12th grade, growing stronger each year, both as an athlete and a student. On the court, she was a dominant force — known for her agility, scoring ability, and basketball IQ well beyond her years. But what truly set her apart was her work ethic. She showed up early, stayed late, and gave everything she had to every practice and game.

Off the court, Annesha was just as impressive. A high achiever in the classroom, she balanced academics and athletics with grace and determination. Her commitment to excellence made her a role model for younger athletes in the program and a source of pride for everyone who had the chance to coach or play alongside her.

Seeing Aneesah now, competing at the highest level of women’s basketball, brings an overwhelming sense of pride to the entire BYF family. She is the definition of “homegrown talent” — a product of her environment, her hard work, and her unshakable belief in herself.
