Hanna Mitchell: BYF Sports’ First Attorney Making Power Moves in Law and Life

At BYF Sports, we’re more than just sports—we’re a family committed to developing leaders on the field, in the classroom, and in their communities. That’s why we’re incredibly proud to spotlight one of our own trailblazers: Hanna Mitchell, the first attorney to come through the BYF Sports program.

Hanna’s journey with BYF began as a young student-athlete with big dreams and relentless drive. Recognizing her talent and dedication, we supported her path to William Woods , where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree. It was more than just a stepping stone academically—it was where she met her future husband, and the two were married in September 2024, marking another milestone in her inspiring journey.

Hanna didn’t stop there. Fueled by ambition and a deep passion for justice, she went on to earn her law degree from the University of Dayton. Her focus, intelligence, and work ethic paid off, and today, she’s proudly serving at the DA office in Ohio, using her legal knowledge to help combat crime and make a real difference.

Hanna’s path from BYF Sports to the courtroom is more than a personal victory—it’s a historic one for our organization. She has broken barriers, set a new standard, and shown every young woman in our program that there are no limits to what they can achieve.

We couldn’t be more proud of Hanna Mitchell—not just for her professional accomplishments, but for the strength, grace, and leadership she brings to everything she does. She’s not just BYF’s first attorney—she’s a shining example of what happens when hard work meets opportunity.
