Nurse Kennedy Kuykendall: A Shot-Maker Turned Life-Saver

We are beyond proud to shine the spotlight on one of our incredible Baylor Youth Foundation (BYF) alumni — Kennedy Kuykendall, a member of our Class of 2017, who has officially earned her title as Nurse Kennedy!

🏀 From Buckets to Bandages

Back in her BYF Sports days, Kennedy wasn’t just known for her smarts — she was deadly from the perimeter. Coaches used to say she could “shoot the leather off the ball,” and game after game, she proved it. But it wasn’t just her jumper that stood out — it was her focus, discipline, and maturity well beyond her years.

👩‍⚕️ A Nurse in High Demand

Fast forward to today — Kennedy has taken her talent from the hardwood into the healthcare system, where she is now thriving as a nurse. What’s even more inspiring is that Kennedy’s skills are so in-demand, she didn’t even need workforce placement assistance. Her reputation and qualifications spoke for themselves.

She now joins a proud group of BYF alumni who are making waves in the healthcare field — a community of strong, compassionate leaders using their gifts to serve others and save lives.

🎧 Listen to Her Story

Kennedy’s journey is powerful. From the court to the clinic, her path is one of determination, purpose, and heart. We encourage everyone in our BYF family to listen to her story — because her voice is one that will encourage, motivate, and remind you that you can be great at more than one thing.

BYF is Beaming

Kennedy, we are so proud of you. You’ve set a shining example for the next generation of student-athletes — that it’s not just about basketball, it’s about building a life of meaning, service, and leadership.

Keep changing lives, Nurse Kennedy. You’ll always be part of our family, and we’ll always be rooting for you — on and off the floor.
