It’s always special when one of our own comes home. We’re thrilled that Michal Miller is the new Player Development Coach at the University of Cincinnati —a full-circle moment for someone who embodies the heart and soul of our program.

Michal’s journey with BYF began back in 7th grade, and she stayed with us all the way through college. From the start, she was a fierce competitor, a natural leader, and a student of the game. Her talent and tenacity led her to commit to the University of Arizona straight out of high school, where she began her collegiate career at the D1 level.

When it came time for a transition, BYF was right there with her, helping Michal make the move to Trinity Valley Community College—a decision that proved to be a turning point. Michal led Trinity Valley to a NJCAA National Championship, solidifying her status as one of the top guards in the country.

But she wasn’t done yet.

She continued her rise by transferring to Wright State University, where she made history. With Michal at the helm, Wright State reached the NCAA Tournament for the first time in school history—a defining moment in her playing career and a testament to her impact on and off the court.

After college, Michal channeled her experience into coaching. She began her coaching career at her alma mater, Wright State, then moved on to the University of Memphis, and is now continuing to climb the ranks at the University of Cincinnati. Her coaching style is fueled by her lived experience as a high-level athlete, her strategic mind, and her deep understanding of player development.

Now, she brings all of that back to BYF Sports—not just as a mentor, but as a true builder of the next generation.

Michal Miller’s story is one of perseverance, purpose, and passion. From BYF player to national champion, NCAA history-maker, and now elite-level coach, she has never stopped growing—and now, she’s helping our athletes do the same.

Good Luck, Coach Miller. The best is yet to come.
