Asia Strong is headed to Wichita State University
April 30, 2020

Baylor Youth Foundation Alumni Asia Strong is headed to Wichita State University. Asia played for our program for only one year and was able to obtain a scholarship at Bradley University. She was a 2019 high school graduate from Riley High School in Southbend, Indiana. She realized that in order to see the floor that she must get better. She always was a strong rebounder and had a mid-range shot. She was high academic student athlete. She had to improve with her mental and physical toughness.
Then it was like a switch came on. She started to work out after and before practice. She improved her ball handling and footwork.

She play one year at Trinity Valley Community College under Gerald Ewing who served as a great mentor and coach. After the second game, it was lights camera action! Asia pick up so many accolades.

2020 brought in some trying times because Trinity Valley was headed to the National Championship and did not get a chance to play! On the bright side, Asia will now be moving on and playing for The only three-time Conference USA Women’s Basketball Coach of the Year Coach Keitha Adams. We will be there watching and cheering Asia on as she takes this new journey in her life. We wish all the best!
